A CSR Campaign done by Digipple in Ahmedabad on International Women’s Day 2022

Empowerment is needed to those who are not self-sufficient. We at Digipple believe that the community of all the women on this planet is the most self-sufficient community of all.

Either you talk about collaboration to make a 1000 crore business or you take an example of protests to get their voice heard, women have always aced and taught us the power of collaboration.

With this same thought in mind, this womens day we decided to do a CSR campaign called WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN”. 

PURPOSE :

The purpose of this campaign was to connect the well-to-do women to underprivileged women. To pass a message to the society that if women decide, they can bring an impact at any scale and spread happiness to 1000s of families in reach.

WHAT WE DID :

This campaign was divided into two phases:

  1. Collection phase
  2. Distribution phase

Collection phase

The collection phase started on 2nd March. We planned and figured out nearby locations where we can find high women density in groups who are privileged and have a good life.

We went out unannounced to local women’s yoga classes, primary schools, women groups in society, and several different places.

Our word reached out to 100s of women and to our surprise each one of them was so much excited to be a part of our campaign and we are all set to spread smiles to the people in need.

We told all of the women to bring up their used and unused items like clothes, vessels, and more to the same place we reached out to them. To make sure that this don’t become inconvenient for the ladies, we went to their place and collected all the items.

A lot of items were submitted to us for donation and we were ready to roll for the distribution phase.

Before distributing, it was important to segment all the collected products. We segmented all the products according to categories so it will be easy for us to distribute.

While segmenting, we counted and a sum of over 5000 items were collected under this campaign.

Our team got divided into two-part for 2 consecutive days and went to rural and slum areas in Ahmedabad. We donated all the items that we collected.

We have also got 500 sanitary pads from a woman as a part of the donation and thus we got in touch with an NGO so they can donate them with proper awareness.

What we achieved

Happiness, Satisfaction, and a great feeling of donation.

Apart from it, as mentioned that we get out and donated 5000+ items that included clothes and utensils and 500 sanitary pads.

We thank all of the women that donated to this campaign and we seek to do this kind of campaign more often on a larger scale.
